Initial Client Problem

Our client, a coal-fired steam power plant company, had difficulty in maintaining lubrication for Ship Unloader Wire Rope. The Ship Unloader (SU) was the main equipment for unloading coal sent via barge or coal shipping to the plant. However, since the wire ropes which required lubrication were above SU at 30 meters, while maintenance was done by manual greasing, their maintenance team was constrained by time and capability to reach. Moreover, some components from Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) China could not be utilized anymore and there were also spare parts which were no longer produced.

Our Solution

We provided NLGI grade 2 Automatic Grease system solution with dual line designed to match the field team’s needs. This solution made it easier for the maintenance team to conduct the ship unloader wire rope lubrication.
