Initial Client Problem

A Food & Beverage client experienced carbon residue issues in their Heat Transfer Oil at 280°C. Analysis revealed that the residue in fryer and oven lines resulted from the absence of a cleaning or flushing process during oil replacement, allowing contaminants from the tank bottom to enter the system. The tank’s location near the furnace also led to combustion residues being drawn in through the air breather.

Our Solution

The TeknoFluida team conducted partial flushing and filtration using a 200 lpm, 5 bar unit with a two-stage 25-20micron filtration and an additional 6-micron filter. The system was equipped with a flowmeter sensor and an online particle counter, targeting ISO 18/16/14 cleanliness standards. Additional filters were installed in the main and HTO expansion tanks to prevent residue.
