Initial Client Problem

Our client, a power plant company in Banten. They used Biodiesel B30 as the fuel for their heavy equipment, which operated daily for 4-8 hours. During inspections, they discovered significant amounts of water and sludge in the fuel stored in two 30.000 L tanks. Laboratory tests revealed that the initial fuel cleanliness fell below the ISO 18/16/13 standard (specifically, ISO 21/19/11). Consequently, they experienced engine problems due to damage to the fuel pump and injectors. Also, the daily tank was in the ground, making inspection and cleaning challenging. They needed Fuel Polishing Units that could remove sludge, solid particles, and water simultaneously.

Our Solution

We manufactured the Fuel Water Separator FWS-851E for our client. This unit had 3-in-1 advantages, such as capabilities to remove sludge, solid particles, and water simultaneously. Laboratory testing indicated that the initial water content of the fuel was 356 ppm. The post-treatment water content was 264 ppm, and the cleanliness was ISO 15/13/9.
