Initial Client Problem

Our client, a hydroelectric power plant company in Merak, had two fuel tanks with a capacity of 2000 kL each. The tanks were filled with HSD Fuel and needed replacement with Biodiesel B30. The procedure for changing from HSD to B30 fuel required tank cleaning. Simultaneously, the remaining HSD in the tank had to be utilized. The challenge was to complete the job within two weeks while adhering to work safety procedures and managing the residual waste from the cleaned tank.

Our Solution

We successfully completed the job on the scheduled due date while adhering to safety regulations for working in confined and closed spaces. We inspected for the presence of hazardous gases, particularly H2S, CO, and other gases. Additionally, we conducted the gas removal process for the tank. Furthermore, we purified the HSD fuel, which had been contaminated by sludge and water, using our fuel polishing unit equipment. Subsequently, we cleaned the tank using a water jet, a liquid alkaline solution, and manual cleaning.
